70 Preface فَلَمّا رَأىٰ أَيدِيَهُم لا تَصِلُ إِلَيهِ نَكِرَهُم وَأَوجَسَ مِنهُم خيفَةً ۚ قالوا لا تَخَف إِنّا أُرسِلنا إِلىٰ قَومِ لوطٍYusuf AliBut when he saw their hands went not towards the (meal), he felt some mistrust of them, and conceived a fear of them.1565-A### They said: “Fear not: We have been sent against the people of Lut.”1The people of Lut means the people to whom Lut was sent on his mission of warning, the people of the wicked Cities of the Plain, Sodom and Gomorrah.
