42 Preface وَقَد مَكَرَ الَّذينَ مِن قَبلِهِم فَلِلَّهِ المَكرُ جَميعًا ۖ يَعلَمُ ما تَكسِبُ كُلُّ نَفسٍ ۗ وَسَيَعلَمُ الكُفّارُ لِمَن عُقبَى الدّارِYusuf AliThose before them did (also) devise plots; but in all things the master- planning is God’s.1 He knoweth the doings of every soul: and soon will the Unbelievers know who gets home in the end.Cf. 3:54. and n. 393.
