164 Preface وَرُسُلًا قَد قَصَصناهُم عَلَيكَ مِن قَبلُ وَرُسُلًا لَم نَقصُصهُم عَلَيكَ ۚ وَكَلَّمَ اللَّهُ موسىٰ تَكليمًاYusuf AliOf some messengers We have already told thee the story; of others We have not;- and to Moses God spoke direct;-1God spoke to Moses on Mount Sinai. Hence the title of Moses in Muslim theology: Kalim God: the one to whom God spoke, (Cf. 19:51). (R).
