60فَتَوَلّىٰ فِرعَونُ فَجَمَعَ كَيدَهُ ثُمَّ أَتىٰMuhammad AsadThereupon Pharaoh withdrew [with his counsellors] and decided upon the scheme which he would pursue;1 and then he came [to the tryst].Lit., "he decided upon his artful scheme" (jama'a kaydahu): evidently an allusion to his summoning all the greatest sorcerers of Egypt (cf. 7:111-114).
