Sura 81
Aya 25
25

Yusuf Ali

Rajīm: literally, driven away with stones, rejected with complete ignominy. Cf. 15:17. The rite of throwing stones in the valley of Minā at the close of the Meccan Pilgrimage [see first note to 2:197 (6)] suggests symbolically that the Pilgrim emphatically, definitely, and finally rejects all Evil.
