They have no true notion of God’s glory, those that say: ‘God has never revealed anything to a mortal.’ Say: ‘Who, then, revealed the Scriptures which Moses brought down, a light and a guide for mankind? You have transcribed them on scraps of paper, declaring some and suppressing much, though now you have been taught what neither you nor your fathers knew before.’ Say: ‘God!’ Then leave them to amuse themselves with foolish chatter.
