Say: ‘I find nothing in what has been revealed to me that forbids men to eat of any food except carrion, running blood, and the flesh of swine — for these are unclean — and any flesh that has been profanely consecrated to gods other than God. But whoever is driven by necessity, intending neither to sin nor to transgress, will find your Lord forgiving and merciful.’
