5 Preface عَلَّمَهُ شَديدُ القُوىٰAhmed AliBestowed on him by the Supreme Intellect,1 These verses (vv. 1-5) deal with the highest of all mystical experiences which only the most spiritually exalted could have and emphasise the spiritual elevation of the Holy Prophet. “This” in v. 4 refers to the Qur’an which, Surah 55, vv. 1-4, affirms, was taught by no one but God, the Supreme Intellect.
