32 Preface وَإِذا قيلَ إِنَّ وَعدَ اللَّهِ حَقٌّ وَالسّاعَةُ لا رَيبَ فيها قُلتُم ما نَدري مَا السّاعَةُ إِن نَظُنُّ إِلّا ظَنًّا وَما نَحنُ بِمُستَيقِنينَYusuf Ali“And when it was said that the promise of God was true, and that the Hour- there was no doubt about its (coming), ye used to say, ?We know not what is1 the hour: we only think it is an idea, and we have no firm assurance.?”###There is arrogance as well as untruth in this pretence. The coming of Judgment has been proclaimed times out of number by every Prophet of God. They cannot dismiss it as a mere idea or superstition. Their object is merely an ostentatious and lofty rejection of Faith.
