Sura 29
Aya 61
61

Yusuf Ali

If indeed thou ask them1 who has created the heavens and the earth and subjected2 the sun and the moon (to his Law), they will certainly reply, “God”. How are they then deluded away (from the truth)?
  • Cf. 23:84-89. “Them” in both passages refers to the sort of inconsistent men who acknowledge the power of God, but are deluded by false notions into disobedience of God’s Law and disregard of God’s Message (see also 31:25, 43:9, and 43:11).
  • Cf. 13:2, and 23:85. The perfect order and law of God’s universe should be Signs to man’s intelligence to get his own will into tune with God’s Will; for only so can he hope to attain his full development.
