6 Preface وَمَن جاهَدَ فَإِنَّما يُجاهِدُ لِنَفسِهِ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَغَنِيٌّ عَنِ العالَمينَAli Quli QaraiWhoever strives, strives only for his own sake.1 Indeed Allah has no need of the creatures. Or ‘Whoever wages jihād, wages jihād only for his own sake.’
