4وَالَّذينَ هُم لِلزَّكاةِ فاعِلونَMuhammad Asadand who are intent on inner purity;1Lit., "working for" or "active in behalf of [inner] purity", which is the meaning of zakah in this context (Zamakhshari; the same interpretation has been advanced by Abu Muslim).
