63 Preface قالوا إِن هٰذانِ لَساحِرانِ يُريدانِ أَن يُخرِجاكُم مِن أَرضِكُم بِسِحرِهِما وَيَذهَبا بِطَريقَتِكُمُ المُثلىٰYusuf AliThey said: “These two are certainly (expert) magicians: their object is to drive you out from your land with their magic, and to do away with your most cherished institutions.1Cf. 20:104. 'Your most cherished institutions,' i.e., 'your ancestral and timehonoured religion and magic'. Muthla, feminine of Amthal, most distinguished, honoured, cherished. Tariqah = way of life, institutions, conduct.
