And they will all appear before Allah. Then the weak will say to those who were considered great, “We were your followers, so can you keep us safe from anything of Allah’s punishment?” They will say, “Had Allah guided us we would have guided you, (now) it is the same to us whether we are impatient or patient, there is no way of escape for us.” (R 3)
