15لا يَصلاها إِلَّا الأَشقَىMir Ahmed AliNone1 shall be cast into it but the most wretched (ones),‘Ashqa’ is the superlative degree ‘Shaqi’, i.e., the unfortunate one, thus the punishment mentioned in verse 14 above, will be for the most unfortunate one, i.e., the one who has not availed of the lifelong respite given to seek the pardon of the All-Merciful Lord and went on persistently and deliberately sinning for his whole life.
