33 Preface وَما كانَ اللَّهُ لِيُعَذِّبَهُم وَأَنتَ فيهِم ۚ وَما كانَ اللَّهُ مُعَذِّبَهُم وَهُم يَستَغفِرونَYusuf AliBut God was not going to send them a penalty whilst thou wast amongst them; nor was He going to send it whilst they could ask for pardon.
