While the disbelievers anchored in their hearts the conceited obstinacy (which was) stubbornness and egocentricity of the days of ignorance, Allah sent down on His Messenger (blessings and peace be upon him) and the believers an exceptional calmness and tranquillity and made them firm on the Word of Godwariness. And it is this that they were most entitled to and (also) worthy of. And Allah knows everything full well.
