3كَذٰلِكَ يوحي إِلَيكَ وَإِلَى الَّذينَ مِن قَبلِكَ اللَّهُ العَزيزُ الحَكيمُMuhammad AsadTHUS has God, the Almighty, the Wise, revealed [the truth] unto thee, [O Muhammad,] and unto those who preceded thee:1I.e., the basic truths propounded in the Qur'anic revelation - some of which are summarized in the sequence - are the same as those revealed to all the earlier prophets.
