34وَلا تَستَوِي الحَسَنَةُ وَلَا السَّيِّئَةُ ۚ ادفَع بِالَّتي هِيَ أَحسَنُ فَإِذَا الَّذي بَينَكَ وَبَينَهُ عَداوَةٌ كَأَنَّهُ وَلِيٌّ حَميمٌAli UnalGoodness and evil can never be equal. Repel evil with what is better (or best).1 Then see: the one between whom and you there was enmity has become a bosom friend.That is, repel falsehood with the truth; do not give harm in return for harm, and follow the right way and take the right means to attain a right goal. This is a basic principle of Islamic conduct and of preaching Islam. In addition, a Muslim individual is expected to forgive what has been done to him or her individually, and to respond with what is the best in conduct.
