31 Preface أَلَم تَرَ أَنَّ الفُلكَ تَجري فِي البَحرِ بِنِعمَتِ اللَّهِ لِيُرِيَكُم مِن آياتِهِ ۚ إِنَّ في ذٰلِكَ لَآياتٍ لِكُلِّ صَبّارٍ شَكورٍYusuf AliSeest thou not that the ships sail through the ocean by the Grace of God.- that He may show you of His Signs? Verily in this are Signs for all who constantly persevere1 and give thanks.Even the things that man makes are, as using the forces of Nature, evidence of the grace of God, Who has subdued these wonderful forces to the use of man. But this gift of mastery can only be understood and appreciated by constant perseverance, combined with a recognition of the divine gifts (“giving thanks”). Sabbar is an intensive form of Sabrand I have indicated it by the adverb “constantly”.
