16وَأَمَّا الَّذينَ كَفَروا وَكَذَّبوا بِآياتِنا وَلِقاءِ الآخِرَةِ فَأُولٰئِكَ فِي العَذابِ مُحضَرونَMuhammad Asadbut as for those who refused to acknowledge the truth and gave the lie to Our messages - and [thus] to the announcement1 of a life to come - they will be given over to suffering.See note 111 on 7:147.
