62 Preface قالَ أَرَأَيتَكَ هٰذَا الَّذي كَرَّمتَ عَلَيَّ لَئِن أَخَّرتَنِ إِلىٰ يَومِ القِيامَةِ لَأَحتَنِكَنَّ ذُرِّيَّتَهُ إِلّا قَليلًاYusuf AliHe said: “Seest Thou? this is the one whom Thou hast honoured above me! If Thou wilt but respite me to the Day of Judgment, I will surely bring his descendants under my sway - all but a few!”1The power of Evil over man is due to man’s limited free will. In other words man hands himself to Evil. As to those who loyally worship and serve God, Evil has no power over them. This is expressly mentioned in verse 65 below, and in other places (Cf. 34:20).
