(These hypocrites) who stayed back (from fighting) due to opposing Allah’s Messenger are rejoicing over their sitting behind. They disliked it that they should strive in the cause of Allah with their wealth and their lives and said: ‘Do not move out in this heat.’ Say: ‘The Fire of Hell is fiercer in heat by far.’ (How good it would be) if they could only understand!
