66 Preface لا تَعتَذِروا قَد كَفَرتُم بَعدَ إيمانِكُم ۚ إِن نَعفُ عَن طائِفَةٍ مِنكُم نُعَذِّب طائِفَةً بِأَنَّهُم كانوا مُجرِمينَYusuf AliMake ye no excuses: ye have rejected Faith after ye had accepted it. If We pardon some of you, We will punish others amongst you, for that they are in sin.1See last note. Hypocrisy is a halfway house, a state of indecision in the choice between good and evil. Those who definitely range themselves with good obtain forgiveness; those who pass definitely to evil suffer the penalties of evil.
