Assuredly, Allah has helped you on a great many occasions and (in particular) on the day of Hunain, when superiority of your (numerical strength) exhilarated you. Then that (numerical superiority) could not prove to you of any avail and the earth, despite its vast expanse, narrowed for you, and then you turned your backs in retreat.
