134 Preface وَلَمّا وَقَعَ عَلَيهِمُ الرِّجزُ قالوا يا موسَى ادعُ لَنا رَبَّكَ بِما عَهِدَ عِندَكَ ۖ لَئِن كَشَفتَ عَنَّا الرِّجزَ لَنُؤمِنَنَّ لَكَ وَلَنُرسِلَنَّ مَعَكَ بَني إِسرائيلَAhmed AliYet when punishment overtook them, they said: “O Moses, invoke your Lord for us as you have been enjoined. If the torment is removed, we shall certainly believe in you and let the people of Israel go with you.”
