13 Preface قالَ فَاهبِط مِنها فَما يَكونُ لَكَ أَن تَتَكَبَّرَ فيها فَاخرُج إِنَّكَ مِنَ الصّاغِرينَYusuf Ali(God) said: “Get thee down from this:1 it is not for thee to be arrogant here: get out, for thou art of the meanest (of creatures).”“This”: the situation as it was then-a rebellious creature impertinent to His Creator. At every step Iblis falls lower: arrogance, jealousy, disobedience, egotism and untruth.
