42وَلَقَد أَرسَلنا إِلىٰ أُمَمٍ مِن قَبلِكَ فَأَخَذناهُم بِالبَأساءِ وَالضَّرّاءِ لَعَلَّهُم يَتَضَرَّعونَMir AneesuddinAnd We had sent (messengers) to communities before you, then We afflicted them with distress and harm that they might humble themselves.
