Inquire (of them): ‘Who is the greatest to bear testimony?’ Proclaim (yourself): ‘Allah is witness between you and me. This Holy Qur’an has been revealed to me so that with it I may warn you as well as every such person this (Qur’an) may reach. Do you really bear witness that there are (also) gods other than Allah?’ Say: ‘I do not bear witness (to such a wrong thing).’ Reiterate: ‘God is but He the Only One and I despise (all) these objects you associate (with Allah).’
