34 Preface وَقيلَ اليَومَ نَنساكُم كَما نَسيتُم لِقاءَ يَومِكُم هٰذا وَمَأواكُمُ النّارُ وَما لَكُم مِن ناصِرينَYusuf AliIt will also be said: “This Day We will1 forget you as ye forgot the meeting of this Day of yours! and your abode is the Fire, and no helpers have ye! Cf. 7:51 and n. 1029. “Forget” is of course metaphorical for “deliberately to ignore”.
