48وَما نُريهِم مِن آيَةٍ إِلّا هِيَ أَكبَرُ مِن أُختِها ۖ وَأَخَذناهُم بِالعَذابِ لَعَلَّهُم يَرجِعونَN. J. Dawoodyet each fresh sign We revealed to them was more powerful than the one that came before. We therefore smote them with the scourge, so that they might return to the right path.
