35وَزُخرُفًا ۚ وَإِن كُلُّ ذٰلِكَ لَمّا مَتاعُ الحَياةِ الدُّنيا ۚ وَالآخِرَةُ عِندَ رَبِّكَ لِلمُتَّقينَAli UnalAnd also adornments of gold (and other jewelry).1 Yet all this is nothing but a (fleeting) enjoyment of the present, worldly life. And the Hereafter with your Lord is only for the God-revering, pious.Verses 33–35 warn against the fact that luxury may lead people to self-adoration, indulgence in worldly appetites, ingratitude to God, and, therefore, unbelief.
