159 Preface وَإِن مِن أَهلِ الكِتابِ إِلّا لَيُؤمِنَنَّ بِهِ قَبلَ مَوتِهِ ۖ وَيَومَ القِيامَةِ يَكونُ عَلَيهِم شَهيدًاAli Quli QaraiThere is none among the People of the Book but will surely believe in him before his death; and on the Day of Resurrection he will be a witness against them.1 That is, every Jew or Christian, before dying, will believe in the Prophet Muḥammad (ṣ), or, according to another interpretation, in Jesus (ʿa).
