158 Preface وَجَعَلوا بَينَهُ وَبَينَ الجِنَّةِ نَسَبًا ۚ وَلَقَد عَلِمَتِ الجِنَّةُ إِنَّهُم لَمُحضَرونَYusuf AliAnd they have invented a blood-relationship1 between Him and the Jinns: but the Jinns know (quite well) that they have indeed to appear (before his Judgment- Seat)!The angels are at least pure beings engaged in the service of God. But the Pagan superstitions not only connect them with God as daughters but even connect God by relationship with all kinds of spirits, good or evil! In some mythologies the most evil powers are gods or goddesses as if they belonged to the family of God the Creator and had some semblance of equality with Him!
