65اليَومَ نَختِمُ عَلىٰ أَفواهِهِم وَتُكَلِّمُنا أَيديهِم وَتَشهَدُ أَرجُلُهُم بِما كانوا يَكسِبونَMuhammad AsadOn that Day We shall set a seal on their mouths1 - but their hands will speak unto Us, and their feet will bear witness to whatever they have earned [in life].A metaphor for their being unable really to excuse or defend their past actions and attitudes.
