49 Preface يا أَيُّهَا الَّذينَ آمَنوا إِذا نَكَحتُمُ المُؤمِناتِ ثُمَّ طَلَّقتُموهُنَّ مِن قَبلِ أَن تَمَسّوهُنَّ فَما لَكُم عَلَيهِنَّ مِن عِدَّةٍ تَعتَدّونَها ۖ فَمَتِّعوهُنَّ وَسَرِّحوهُنَّ سَراحًا جَميلًاAhmed AliO you who believe, when you marry believing women then divorce them before having (sexual) contact with them, you have no right to demand observance of the ‘waiting period’ of them. But provide suitably for them, and let them go with honour.
