123وَلَقَد نَصَرَكُمُ اللَّهُ بِبَدرٍ وَأَنتُم أَذِلَّةٌ ۖ فَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ لَعَلَّكُم تَشكُرونَMuhammad Asadfor, indeed, God did succour you at Badr, when you were utterly weak.1 Remain, then, conscious of God, so that you might have cause to be grateful.A reference to the battle of Badr, in 2 H., which is dealt with extensively in surah 8.
