59وَما كانَ رَبُّكَ مُهلِكَ القُرىٰ حَتّىٰ يَبعَثَ في أُمِّها رَسولًا يَتلو عَلَيهِم آياتِنا ۚ وَما كُنّا مُهلِكِي القُرىٰ إِلّا وَأَهلُها ظالِمونَMuhammad AliAnd thy Lord never destroyed the towns, until He has raised in their metropolis a messenger, reciting to them Our messages, and We never destroyed the towns except when their people were iniquitous.
