36فَلَمّا جاءَهُم موسىٰ بِآياتِنا بَيِّناتٍ قالوا ما هٰذا إِلّا سِحرٌ مُفتَرًى وَما سَمِعنا بِهٰذا في آبائِنَا الأَوَّلينَN. J. DawoodAnd when Moses came to them with Our undoubted signs, they said: ‘This is nothing but baseless sorcery; nor have we heard of the like among Our forefathers.’
