40أَو كَظُلُماتٍ في بَحرٍ لُجِّيٍّ يَغشاهُ مَوجٌ مِن فَوقِهِ مَوجٌ مِن فَوقِهِ سَحابٌ ۚ ظُلُماتٌ بَعضُها فَوقَ بَعضٍ إِذا أَخرَجَ يَدَهُ لَم يَكَد يَراها ۗ وَمَن لَم يَجعَلِ اللَّهُ لَهُ نورًا فَما لَهُ مِن نورٍShabbir AhmedOr total darkness in the midst of a deep ocean, with waves upon waves and a thick cloud above - darkness upon darkness. When he holds out his hand, he can barely see it. Allah's Law does not give light to him who disregards His Light.
