110 Preface فَاتَّخَذتُموهُم سِخرِيًّا حَتّىٰ أَنسَوكُم ذِكري وَكُنتُم مِنهُم تَضحَكونَAli Quli QaraiBut then you took them by ridicule until they made you forget My remembrance,1 and you used to laugh at them. That is, ‘your contemptuous attitude towards them made you oblivious of Me and My reminders and warnings.’
