170وَإِذا قيلَ لَهُمُ اتَّبِعوا ما أَنزَلَ اللَّهُ قالوا بَل نَتَّبِعُ ما أَلفَينا عَلَيهِ آباءَنا ۗ أَوَلَو كانَ آباؤُهُم لا يَعقِلونَ شَيئًا وَلا يَهتَدونَN. J. DawoodWhen they are told: ‘Follow what God has revealed,’ they reply: ‘We will follow what our fathers practised,’ even though their fathers understood nothing and had no guidance.
