55وَكانَ يَأمُرُ أَهلَهُ بِالصَّلاةِ وَالزَّكاةِ وَكانَ عِندَ رَبِّهِ مَرضِيًّاMuhammad Asadwho used to enjoin upon his people prayer and charity,1 and found favour in his Sustainer's sight.This may perhaps mean that Ishmael was the first among the prophets to establish prayer and charity as obligatory forms of worship.
