Muhammad Asador thou cause the skies to fall down upon us in smithereens, as thou hast threatened,1 or [till] thou bring God and the angels face to face before us,Lit., "claimed": possibly a reference to the warning expressed in 34:9, which was revealed somewhat earlier than the present surah.
