73وَإِن كادوا لَيَفتِنونَكَ عَنِ الَّذي أَوحَينا إِلَيكَ لِتَفتَرِيَ عَلَينا غَيرَهُ ۖ وَإِذًا لَاتَّخَذوكَ خَليلًاN. J. DawoodThey sought to entice you from Our revelations — they nearly did — hoping that you might invent some other scripture in Our name, and thus become their trusted friend.
