Have you not heard what befell those that have gone before you? The people of Noah, Ad, and Thamūd, and those who came after? God alone knows their number. Their apostles came to them with veritable signs, but they bit their hands with their mouths and said: ‘We will not believe in your message. Indeed, we strongly doubt the faith to which you call us.’
