Our Histroy

Formed by two former Computer Science students at the University of Copenhagen, in November 2007 under the name ‘Online Quran Project’, the al-Quran project improves the way religious texts are freely studied, compared and recited online. There has been made a great effort in collecting different translation from around the world and making them publicly available. The translations vary from being translated in a word-by-word style, to a quran-critical and biased fashion, and many in between. To ensure the high standard we continuous improve and update the project webpage.
