Sura 9
Aya 40
40

Mir Aneesuddin

If you do not help him (Muhammed), then Allah helped him when those who did not believe sent him out (of Mecca, he being the) second of the two when they were both in the cave1, when he said to his companion (Abu Bakar), “Do not grieve, Allah is certainly with us.” So Allah sent down His tranquility over him and strengthened him with forces which you did not see, and made lowest the word of those who did not believe; and the word of Allah, that is the highest; and Allah is Mighty, Wise.
  • During the journey from Mecca to Madina, prophet Muhammed (PBH) and Hazrath Abu Bakr took refuge in the cave of the Mount Sawr about 3 miles from Mecca. A serpent stung the heel of Hazrath Abu Bakr while he was closing the holes inside the cave. He tried to bear the pain but his tears fell on the face of the prophet (PBH) and awakened him, on learning the reason he rubbed the spot with his saliva and that cured the sting. A spider span a web on the entrance of the cave and a pair of pigeons built a nest and laid eggs. His enemies came in search of him right upto the cave but the spider's web and the pigeon's nest misled them and they went away.
