5فَما كانَ دَعواهُم إِذ جاءَهُم بَأسُنا إِلّا أَن قالوا إِنّا كُنّا ظالِمينَMuhammad AsadAnd when Our punishment came upon them, they had nothing to say for themselves, and could only cry,1 "Verily, we were wrongdoers!"Lit., "their plea was nothing but that they said".
