185 Preface أَوَلَم يَنظُروا في مَلَكوتِ السَّماواتِ وَالأَرضِ وَما خَلَقَ اللَّهُ مِن شَيءٍ وَأَن عَسىٰ أَن يَكونَ قَدِ اقتَرَبَ أَجَلُهُم ۖ فَبِأَيِّ حَديثٍ بَعدَهُ يُؤمِنونَYusuf AliDo they see nothing in the government of the heavens and the earth and all that God hath created?1 (Do they not see) that it may well be that their terms is nigh drawing to an end? In what message after this will they then believe?An appeal to God’s most wonderful universe should at once convince a thinking mind of man’s nothingness, and God’s power, glory, and goodness. Man’s term here is fleeting. If he is not warned by the great Signs, and the Messages which call his attention to them, is he capable of any faith at all?
